Launched in March 2002, from Hérault (France), Occi’zen – Designed to link children and art, to link youngsters and grown-ups, to alleviate the physical and psychological sufferings of children in need.
The association creates a bridge between cultural, artistic and humanitarian worlds :
Children in difficulty, artists, painters, photographers, sculptors, writers...

They discover each other or meet in events : photo or paintings exhibitions, “Tale machine” and plays, world’s festival, artistic itinerary.
Always with the will to create an exchange and sharing, Occi’zen offers these moments to the public, who comes also from all horizons and various places: school, restaurant “Le Jardin des Sens”, Youth club, etc
Act for the children here and elsewhere :
In France, action has begun since the beginning of 2004, within hospitals : painting workshops for children having to undergo severe surgery. This exchange enables children to live more lightly for one moment, it is like an oxygen bubble in an everyday life that is often very hard.

Missions are carried out abroad, in particular in Morocco :
Collection of clothes, shoes, books, supplies, to distribute directly to the most needy people.

Meetings between children and artists, with common creations (drawings, paintings...), street shows...

Following collections organized in France, in schools and among private individuals, Occi’zen has carried out eight missions since 2002. In villages of Ouled Driss and Nhamid (close to the Moroccan desert) and K’laa M’Gouna, in the mountains near Ouarzazate. The donations were directly given to the children and to families who were in need. These exchanges are possible thanks to the collaboration of the leaders of villages, teachers, medical teams...

The moment of tale : The way to link youngsters and grown-ups. The collection of contemporary illustrated tales was invented by the association. It is sold 10 euros, to the profit of childhood in difficulty. Buying a copy makes it possible to offer another one to the children (French and Moroccan schools and hospitals).

In France : pursue painting/children workshop within hospitals, organize a fashion parade with children in difficulty, present hospitalized children a ballet on birth and life.
Renovate a school close to the desert, bring clothes and supplies, create the “Colors Caravan” with day nursery, medical room, elimination of illiteracy…
